Yeah I didnt think it would take this long for me to get here. I started getting all the paperwork started in July, a long 6 months. How much longer do you think its going to take for you to get your immigration stuff done? Its good here so far. Its hard getting use to not having things available to buy or stores being open everyday. I love the townhouse we got on post and people seem really friendly here but maybe because they want to get to know people before deployment comes.

I'm in Freetown. Pretty much nobody has ever heard of it. haha.
I'd love to meet up in the city sometime. My schedule is getting hectic because of the holidays, but if I can get a manageable day off, I'll let you know!

I saw you are in Boston! I am about an hour south of you.
My DB is in the Army too, stationed in NY. It sucks being apart, but we'll hopefully be getting married sometime next year.
I hope everything goes well with your getting to Germany!

I hope you can get the command sponsorship thru quickly, it's no fun being apart, and Germany is a great place!
We're all doing good here, I've been working a lot but got some vacation time around Halloween. I've got family coming in from Sweden, so it'll be nice to have a few days off. Hope you had a good weekend!

As for travelling around Europe, you will need a visa for that too..I will research the name of the type of visa you need.
    edit..it's called Schengen Visa.

I saw your message. You an get CS to Germany. You just need to get a visa. The people dealing with your husband orders should be able to point you the right direction. Ad for permanent residence, all i know is that you don't loose your PR if you are going overseas with your husband because of his orders but you do have to report it to USCIS about the situation. Hope you will be able to join your husband in Germany. Do you know where he will be heading to?

I'm in Maryland, right between Washington DC and Baltimore. I've been here on and off since I was 19, a loooong time ;-)
My friend Kripa will be going back in a few weeks, she's going home for some kind of festival they have at the end of Sep, but I'm not quite sure what it was for. She's just a bit worried over the long flight with two kids under the age of 3. Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend! /Helena
