- How I Met My Military Significant Other:
- My ex-boyfriend's best friend and his fiancee, both of whom became my close friends, decided to hook me up with another of their friends after my last relationship ended. I didn't have high hopes- I thought that my heart had taken too much of a beating. Kenny passed my number on to Dex and the connection between us was instantaneously electric. We talked via text, phone call, Skype, etc. for about 3 weeks before we finally got to see each other while he was on holiday leave. It was love at first sight, and has been perfect ever since <3
- About Me:
- I am a licensed minister for the state of Ohio and also have a Doctorate in Metaphysics and something else...for the lulz. So, if anyone in Ohio wants to get married, let me know. According to my best friend I'm also an honorary fugitive. I'm about 32 credit hours away from earning my first bachelors degree in arts and sciences (after initially starting out in fashion design, then hospitality management...oi), then on to a bachelors in social work. After that I want to join the Canadian Forces where I will pursue my masters and work as a social worker in the CF. I really secretly major in Gangsta Rap with a minor in Fireworks. Captain Planet really is my hero. I can lick my elbow. I can sometimes be an asshole but you'll love me for it anyway. Sometimes I get shy and talk in my little voice. I love all things poison green. I was born in Canada (but I don't say "eh"...at least, not all the time). I'm a vegetarian. I love Jones Soda (Strawberry Lime is the best!), steampunk, ghost hunting, going to the drive-in with my best friends, old Batman movies, swing and jazz, stars, people with pipes and smoking jackets, handlebar mustaches, people with grills (not the George Foreman variety), the cuisine and style of other cultures, black and white photographs, lobsters, llamas, old cars, miniature things, hookahs, aardvarks, dancing to Sinatra, and sometimes I am secretly girly but I don't like to make it a habit. I think that love, music, and education are the most important things in the world. I swear like a sailor. I have five brothers and a disgusting sense of humour. I have 4 tattoos and 10 piercings (so far).
- About Us:
- He's the first man that really meets me halfway and is genuinely good to me. It boggles my mind. But, I'm loving every minute of it and couldn't ask for anything better. We've only been together for a short time but I know this one is going to last!
- Interests & Hobbies:
- Art, music, theater, literature- generally anything that gives my right brain a hard-on. Knitting and other crafty things. Also...hot air balloons, rugby, piercings and tattoos, traveling, sarcasm, the paranormal, getting pied in the face, wine tasting, smoking hookah, adventures, pulling pranks, super soaker fights, bonfires, going to the drive-in, bubble tea, supermanning hoes, pondering the existence of androids and Macho Man Randy Savage.
- Music:
- Anything with a sick beat and/or amazing lyrics. I tend to shy away from country, though, and I'm hopelessly stuck in the 90's sometimes.
- Television:
- Heroes, House, Dexter, Scrubs, The L Word, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm...and of course, Saved by the Bell (the high school years- Zach Morris is STILL a fox), 90's sitcoms, classic Nickelodeon, Adult Swim
- Movies:
- UP, Bamboozled, Amelie, Fern Gully, The Page Master, John Hughes movies, old-school Disney, generally anything Quentin Tarantino, American History X, The Green Mile, cheesy horror films, and yes *sigh* The Notebook
- Reading:
- The Things They Carried, mostly anything by Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, or Oscar Wilde, A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, books from my childhood, poetry

The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!
