How I Met My Military Significant Other:
We met through an on-campus organization called Christian Challenge.

Christian Challenge is a huge praise service that meets once a week in a huge campus auditorium. About 500 people attend. The first time I ever went, I went with a friend. We walked in and were overwhelmed by the amount of students in attendance. She asked where I wanted to sit and I said "well I don't know!!" but then I looked up, and I saw DH. He was cute, wearing a t-shirt of a band I really like, and had long curly shaggy hair. I said (and I quote) "He's cute! Let's sit by him!" But, we were too chicken to sit right BY him, so we sat BEHIND him.

I spent the entire service starting at him in awe. My friend kept saying "I can talk to him for you! I can introduce you!" (she was much more brave than I was, and something about this guy made me feel like I was in Jr. High again.) After closer inspection of DH, my friend realized that she "knew" him. She had briefly met him through a friend the previous week at church. Finally, after the program was over, we were all walking out to our cars. My friend RAN up to him and said "HEY! I think I know you!" (She did this so that she could introduce me.) After they remembered each other from meeting the previous week in church, she introduced me, we started talking, and just immediately hit it off. After we had all reached our cars, we said good-bye to him. My friend turned to me, gave me a huge hug and said "you two will be together by the end of this year. It is my goal to see to that!" A week later we saw him again at Christian challenge. The next week, he had gotten her phone number from their mutual friend because he wanted to hang out with "us". A week later, we were hanging out exclusively, and both really crushing on each other. We started dating, and it's all a blur from there!

Wow. That was a long story.

The short version?

I saw a cute boy. I sat behind him at Christian Challenge. A year later we got married. :
About Me:
I'm Kelsey. I'm a student at Kansas State University and will hopefully be graduating within the next 2 years or so. My husband is also still a student since his Reservist duties and enlisting took a few years off of his schooling, so he should hopefully finish within 2-3 years as well.

I really can't think of anything very creative to put here right now, so this is all you get.
About Us:
Since our first year of marriage as "newlyweds" was cut short by deployment, we're still trying to become used to being married to each other...
Interests & Hobbies:
photography, painting, sewing, scrapbooking, cooking, music, art, fashion
Dream Sheet:
DH is only staying in until his term runs out in 2011. He's reserves, so we're just staying in Manhattan to finish school. Hopefully after we both graduate (finally) we can stay in Manhattan or the area.
