Yeah. The zithromax finally kicked in, so I'm STARTING to feel like myself again.

Do you have any advice for me when it comes to dealing with a micromanaging/untrusting/throws work at you constantly boss?!
Week number 1 and I feel as if I can't do anything right. I have to leave the building just to make sure I am able to take my lunch hour. They don't pay me for that and after working through my lunch the first few days I realized that my boss would use me for labor to her advantage. So now I leave to make sure I get my break.
I also have to check in with her when I come in, go to lunch, and leave the office.
I feel as if I'm like 10 again.
Any advice?!

Well, understand that for at least a little while, she probably sees you in a sort of probationary status, so she will be checking on you. There's no telling what kind of stuff happened with the previous employee and she might be responding to that.

I would guess that once you establish yourself there, she'll give you more space to roam (literally and figuratively).

I sure hope so. I know that the person I am taking over for, is being accused of stealing deposit money. And I'm sure that's why my boss is watching me like a hawk. I've just never stolen money before and it hurts me that I'm being thought of as a huge liar and stealer when I haven't given her any ammo to accuse me with. I hate being treated with a lack of respect when I haven't done anything to deserve it. I know it comes with the territory. I just hate this.
And everyone in the office apparently dislikes my boss. She comes off as rude and condesending. Idk. I hope I can just push through for 6 months so this can go on my resume. I don't quit unless I have to quit. Heck it was hard for me to even tell her that I had a doctor's appointment. And I had the doctor at work tell her that he wants me to go home just so she wouldn't flip her lid at me and fire me. She just seems so out of touch with reality. I did apologize profusely for being sick. Though she knew I was sick all week and I apologized for coughing all over the place. The most she said was "it doesn't bother me so long as you're getting the job done". That resonated with me. It's like she doesn't care about her own workers. I've been lucky with bosses being understanding my whole life for the most part, but it seems that I've finally gotten a boss that is out of touch with reality.
I like what I do, don't get me wrong. It's teaching me more and forcing me more to use my accounting degree than any other job I've ever had. I just don't know if I can work with a boss like her. I'm probably just being overly dramatic.

Muushuu, stop and think about this for a minute. This is not about YOU, it's about the previous situation. I'm sure the boss got her bupkis handed to her about the theft situation; who knows how hard she got called on the carpet for that? Especially if she was the one who hired that other person, oy vey.

It appears that the rest of the organization understand she's a bit difficul. Give it a little time; YOU might turn out to be the only one who can work with her. Even if it doesn't work out like that, at least you can establish yourself as a hard worker and when something else opens up, you'll be known as someone who gets the job done and can work with difficult people.

You have VERY good valid points here. I now I understand what's going on. Yeah you're right, I will continue to just work work work, and get through the days. It's a paycheck and an honest earning wage. Plus you're right, I will be known as a dedicated and hard worker when other jobs open up. I guess I just needed to hear an outsider's opinion.
