Imitation Scholotzsky's Original Sandwich.
I'm obsessed with Scholotzsky's Original So I looked and found an copycat and switched it up a bit.
(makes 1 sandwich) 2 pieces of sourdough bread lightly toasted Garlic Dressing ** Parmesean Chedder Cheese 1 tbl yellow mustard 3 tbl mozzerella 1 slice cotto salami 3 slices honey backed ham (thin slice) red onion Optional - tomato, olives and lettuce Lightly Spread the dressing on both sides of both pieces of bread and retoast then spread on inside only Spinkle both slices with parmesean (only inside part) on bottom piece put chedder cheese on top part mix the mustard and mozz and spread on heat till melted Cheddar goes on the bottom then Salami red onion and ham then top with mozz side. If adding the olives they go on the bottom under the cheddar. Should be assembled...(top to bottom0 (( by spread I mean dressing)) spread bread spread parmesean mustard and mozz tomato lettuce ham red onion salami cheddar olives parmesean spread bread spread ** garlic dressing** makes enough for 2 sandwiches 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbl onion flakes 1/4 tbl garlic salt 1/4 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1 tbl plus 1 tsp Mix and that's it. I used to work at a Schlotzkys. We did it much more simpler! This is how "we" made it...2 pieces of sourdough shredded cheddar on bottom thin sliced ham 3 slices of salami minced black olives shredded mozzerella on top (run through toaster) lettuce tomato red onion yellow mustard on top slice in half and serve. ![]() Pretty much the same thing, cept' we didn't use garlic butter or parmesan. It sounds yummy though. I want to copycat the Turkey Original. I think I'm going to make the 20 minute drive to pick one up for dinner tonight.
