Mac N Cheese Soup

I made Mac N Cheese soup for din-din tonight. It's sooo good and I thought I'd share the recipe.

1lb ground beef
1 1/2c dry elbow macaroni
4c milk
4c cheddar cheese (I use sharp)
2c chopped onion
3 cloves of garlic (I chop one, smash two)
1/4c flour
Olive oil
1 can vegetable broth

Seasonings:
3tsp ground mustard
1tbsp Cayenne pepper (I like spicy, lol. You can use less if you like)
1tbsp chili powder

Brown the ground beef in a dutch oven, then remove it and put it on a plate. Add a little olive oil to the pan and brown the onions and garlic. Add the flour and mix well, then add the vegetable broth. Whisk it all together really well and then add the milk and all the seasonings. Whisk that all together again and throw in the macaroni. Stir well and stir constantly, then after about four minutes throw the cheese and ground beef in there. Stir well again and keep stirring until the macaroni is cooked. Then, serve!

do u boil the macaroni first or throw it in dry?

Defffinitely looks cheesier than it tastes. My boyfriend doesn't like cheese and is real picky about the way he eats cheese, and he loved this. It gets the Steve Seal of Approval! Lol.

I throw the macaroni in dry, but some recipes I've read before say to boil it first. I just like making everything in one dish. Less cleanup.
