Kielbasa, chicken, and shrimp jambalaya!!!
So I went to a New Orleans style restaurant about a month or so ago and have been craving jambalaya ever since. I made a semi-homemade pot tonight and it was SO good, SO easy (took me 30 minutes start to finish), and not too bad on the wallet either for the amount of food you get! only word of warning is it's spicy
![]() What I used: 1 piece polish kielbasa cut into half inches 2 boneless chicken breasts cut into inch cubes 1/2 pound fresh shrimp (deveined!!) 1 can (14.5 oz) stewed tomatoes 1 box Zatarain's jambalaya rice mix 1 1/2 c. water 1 tbs. light olive oil I first cut and prepped all my meat, then put a tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan and cooked the kielbasa on both sides because I like it cooked well, but that step is optional. Crush the tomatoes in the can so you get 1 cup of juice. Combine 1 cup tomato juice and 1 1/2 cups of water in a pot and bring to a boil. When boiling, add zatarain's rice mixture, raw chicken, and browned kielbasa. Bring back to a boil. Once it boils again, stir, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes. Remove lid and add raw shrimp. Stir and recover, then continue cooking for 10 minutes. The end now eat!It was so so good! Hope yall like it!
