Shrimp & Grits
Has anyone ever made this?
I ate it at a seafood place at the beach and want to try it at home ... Any suggestions? |

yep! my mom makes it alot! she cooks her grits and cheese seperately (cheese is optional) and she'll sautee her shrimp in a little oil with whatever seasonings (I usually use Old Bay seafood seasoning) and mix together! It's not very hard at all. Just make sure not to overcook your shrimp.

I love grits.
That is different from what I would have thought. Somehow I imagined the shrimps in some kind of dark brown rich stew (quasi Gumbolike) and then spooned over the grits almost like the grits are mashed potatoes. But I love LOVE love the idea of cheese up in the mix. Damn. This made me hungry.
