He's Leaving/I Can't Cook Meal Ideas
My boyfriend gets back to my state on Sunday and heads to Okinawa for two years on Monday. He has had a stressful time on leave back home. I want to make Sunday a nice relaxing evening for him to unwind and get ready to head out. I bought candles and am making him his favorite dessert (cheesecake) but also wanted to make him dinner. I am not much of a cook so I was looking for a nice and easy recipe that doesn't take a lot of time. (Don't wanna spend the whole last night we have cooking!) He is pretty easy to please with food, but don't wanna just make a sandwich either! haha. Loves honey mustard lol. Please help

I was looking for a quick recipe as well for DF's homecoming in a few weeks here and I decided to make a recipe I saw on Food Network. It's called Corny Mango salmon.
Fish is pretty quick because it cooks fast and doesn't take much cleaning/preparation. You can serve it with couscous since that cooks in 5 minutes and you don't even have to touch it, just pour it into boiling water. You can go to this website http://www.foodnetwork.com/ and on the bottom right there is a little drop down menu, where you choose what type of meal you want to use, what you want to use and how fast you want it to be. Tnen it pulls up recipes for you. I hope this helps, if not, I have tons of other recipe websites since I love to cook. Good luck and have fun! |

personally I am a cook but for a moment like this I would go really simple. Like some steaks and potatoes or yummy pasta with chicken and lots of garlic bread. nothing that is too time intensive so you can really spend the time with him, plus you don't want to stress yourself out and thus him stressing out too. Crackpots are also great meals, you just put the meat in in the AM and it's ready at 5pm. you could do pulled pork sandwiches or pot roast etc.
I LOVE COUS COUS!!!!! my secret tip is make it using chicken or vegetable stock ![]() enjoy your time and I bet your cheesecake will be amazing

How about a nice roast? Super simple way to make a great tasting dinner....
What you need: *Chuck Roast *Lipton onion soup mix packets (powder) *1 can of cream of mushroom soup *Crockpot Put the roast in the crockpot, add 1 packet of the Lipton onion soup mix, and the can of soup (do not add water or milk) Cook 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high Then all you need is some mashed potatoes! ![]() This makes me just thinking about it! lol
