Actually I cut my sausage in circles 1st cook them until done and then throw in my peppers and onions and cook until tender and also add in alittle minced garlic
Then I add prego sausage sauce and just simmer and either throw over pasta or eat on a roll. |

I make them two different ways. . .ballpark style and sauce style.
Ballpark style is all on the grill. . .sausage, peppers and onions, all grilled in olive oil and thrown on toasted buns. In sauce - that's an all day affair, as I've never had sauce from a jar in my life (and never will). |

i just do really simple brown off the sausage in a skillet. after that i toss the peppers in and because i like mine a little crunchier than super soft i will cook them until they start getting soft, toss in some spaghetti sauce and then toast up the hoagie buns and voila sausage and pepper hoagies

Do you mean hot sausage?
Sausage franks...Brown them...Sautee peppers and onions...Put in a pot...We use a hot, spicey sauce and serve on a roll.

Brown italian sausage in a bit of olive oil in a frying pan. Remove from heat, place sausage in a baking dish. Slice one yellow onion, 1 green and 1 yellow pepper and some fresh mushrooms. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top, season with sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Cover with tin foil, bake on 350 til veggies are soft. * Do not pierce sausage..you will make them dry out. Do not wash mushrooms, but dust them off with a damp paper towel to not make them soggy.
Serve on a hoagie bun. If you like it with sauce make this simple sauce, which only takes the same amount of time as the dish does in the oven. Quick and easy marinara sauce Ingredients 1 can of crushed tomatoes (15 oz) ½ an onion, diced Extra-virgin olive oil Fresh basil leaves, chopped Dried oregano Salt and pepper Method Heat about 1 tbsp of olive oil in a medium sized saucepan. Add the chopped onion and fry over a gentle heat until the onion is translucent and soft. Add the tomatoes with their juice to the onion and stir well. Finally add some dried oregano, freshly chopped basil leaves and season with salt and pepper. Simmer over a low-medium heat for 25 - 30 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and reached the desired consistency.

i also either just cook the sausages and peppers on the stove or you can throw them in the crockpot and let the sausages cook all day if you like them real tender

I'd squeeze the meat out of the sausage and pan fry the meat till cooked and then grill the peppers in evoo till charred, peel off the charred skin and pile the cooked meat with the grilled peppers on a roll with relish and sautéed oinions

I just chop up the sausage and cook it completely. Then I add in the onions and red and orange bell peppers. cook them on low with the lid on until they are nice and tender. they flavor themselves. I don't use any sauce, and just salt and pepper to taste!
