SPAGHETTI PIE
6 oz. spaghetti 2 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese 2 well beaten eggs 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes 1 tsp. oregano 1 c. cottage cheese 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1 sm. can tomato paste While spaghetti is cooking, brown ground beef, onion, green pepper. Drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, garlic salt. Heat through. Drain spaghetti. Stir in butter, eggs and Parmesan cheese. Form spaghetti mixture into crust in deep pie plate. Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti crust. Fill in with meat sauce. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese over top. Bake until melted (about 3 to 5 minutes). Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting. NOTE: I use leftover spaghetti and leftover meat sauce (omit tomatoes, oregano, garlic sauce). Will require longer baking time, if all ingredients are cold. Serves 6. |

That sounds so good! DH hates cottage cheese, though. Maybe I'll try it with just an extra layer of regular cheese
