Question How soon do you say I Love You?

    Advertisements
Russ and I have not been together very long. However he had me on the 1st date when I got an unexpected call from my ex-husband saying that I had to pick up my kids ASAP. We were in the area and Russ readily agreed to go pick them up. He met my kids (who were soaking wet and dirty from swimming) and my ex (who made some nasty snubs about sailors etc), and agreed to put two dirty carseats (covered in cheetos) in his brand new car. To add to that he had just cleaned his car that morning. I've been crazy about him ever since. Its alkward though because we haven't yet reached the point of saying "I love you." We've both been through a bad marriage so I don't want to rush it. Just wondering. When did you finally say "I Love You." How did you know when to say it?

Depends on the relationship, when you know... you know... with DH it got to the point that our conversations were getting awkward and he finally said "I can't stand it anymore, I love you!" I recipricated and the awkwardness went away. Good luck!

When you're ready, plain and simple

It could be 2 hours, it could be 2 months, it could be 2 years. You never know just when you're going to say it until it pops out

I know and it's already getting awkward. I'd love to say it but I'm kind of waiting to let him take that step. I don't want to be pushy if he's not ready.

You will know when its time...DONT wait/hesitate...sometimes that "moment" may be the only opportunity you have.

Dear GOD, I didn't think orange went with purple until I saw the sunset you made on Tuesday. That was cool!

I knew after seeing DB treat my sister like a princess so I told him but I made it very clear I didn't expect it back until he was ready & I meant it. I really think that not putting pressure on him to say it or myself by not saying it has made our relationship all that much stronger.
