    Question One thing about marriage?

    Advertisements
Just out of curiousity if you were to tell someone one piece of advice/something they should know about getting married what would you tell them??
I don't really have a reason for asking, just that I'm sitting at work and my mind is wondering since it's slow here right now.

One thing? I would say: when you're upset or arguing, take the time to clearly say what the problem really is. It's too easy to fight about chores or money to hide deeper issues, but you have to learn to speak honestly about feelings.

Getting married doesn't all of a sudden change your relationship. If you have problems going into a marriage they are still going to be there after you sign on the dotted line.

Find out for sure if your future spouse (if they are male) always put the toilet seat down when he pee's and flushes.

For real, DH and I 'argue' about this weekly

Not everything is about you, it's one marriage but two people with opinions that matter.

Oh man. DH doesn't flush if he goes during the night. when he was growing up, the toilet in his house was soo loud and would wake everyone so he still doesn't flush at night. It drives me nuts sometimes!
