When you both forget it's your first anniversary

We've been together for a (consecutive) year as of yesterday and neither one of us remembered lol. We're so romantic we can't even handle it.

I hope we're not doomed as a couple

But I'll be flying to see him in a week so hopefully we will make up for it then. But I've been so worried about my dog the past couple days that she's pretty much the only thing on my mind :/

I had to ask DH a few weeks ago what year we got married I couldn't for the life of me remember

I told him that's what he gets for forgetting when my birthday was a few years ago (he thought it was the 21st, and it's the 22nd).

DB and I started dating sometime in June and we don't remember what day so we just say "June" when people ask. My old friend would get so irritated because she said we HAD to have an exact date.

I've had exes that would flip out if I didn't remember the exact date. It's so annoying. People act like it's an essential thing in a relationship to remember these things. I mean, I already live with his parents so I feel like at this point it doesn't even matter how long we've been together

We made our church wedding on a memorable date for that reason! We have had this disagreement since months after we first started dating that we cannot agree on our dating anniversary! He thinks it is Dec 31 and I think Dec 30. We decided to get married so we could have an agreement about our anniversary.

Except now that we have a legal and church wedding anniversary on 2 separate dates, we still can't decide which one we want to 'count'. We are doomed to disagree on our anniversary date forever.

We completely disagree on our dating anniversary and after we got married DH was like so now the only things I have to remember are V-day, your birthday and our wedding anniversary right?
