    What did you do?

Our first wedding anniversary is this Saturday and DH and I are planning on just ordering pizza and hanging out at home, maybe watch a movie. Big spenders, I know. But that's what we enjoy, and so we just want to relax and not feel like we HAVE to do anything that day. We don't plan on exchanging gifts either.

What did you do? Did you exchange gifts?

He was deployed for our first but he sent me flowers, chocolates & a bear.

He was also deployed for our second but he sent me flowers.

For our third, I think I made him dinner. I don't even remember.

"Thank you so much. No matter what, nothing is possible without you behind the scenes bustin heads and takin names. Thank you again. Everything you have done for me means a lot and nothing has gone unnoticed. I love you so much and thank you for saying 'I do.'"

We just make a date night. October will be our 3rd and we'll probably just do the same, providing we're not in L&D. We're pretty boring and aren't real "gifty" people so it works for us

Awww. It sucks that he was deployed, but at least you got the third one together!

See, we are kind of in the same boat. We have a few extra bucks but we would rather spend 40 on pizza than to spend 100 on a fancy dinner somewhere. We want to save as much as we can, plus we don't treat our wedding anniversary as our "anniversary". We like it from the day we started dating, which is in november. So we probably wont do anything for that either

Im sorry he will be gone Would you be able to send him a lovey-dovey care package? (or is that frowned upon? I don't know these things.. )

Wouldn't it be completely bittersweet to have baby boy on your anniversary? Talk about a gift!

Oh my gosh I'm trying to avoid it! My birthday is on October 12th and our anniversary the 9th. I hope I can be selfish and keep those dates

We went out to a super fancy dinner. He also took me to Tiffany's to pick something out but I do not like anything within our price range there so I ended up buying a teeny gold infinity bracelet from Etsy.

I totally understand. He's due on the 3rd? Well, just walk a ton and get an exercise ball and bounce on it and just do everything you can to get him out before those days!

For our first we went to Kings Island (amusement park in Ohio) because we had free tickets from donating blood we exchanged little gifts, I got him a pocket knife and he got me a necklace.
For our second anniversary I'm flying out to Virginia to stay with him for a week and a half. not sure what we'll actually do though. I haven't even thought about a gift yet and our anniversary is in 9 days.
