    Smile Dinner with his grandparents.

So DB's Grandfather has been asking for me and my sister to come over for a visit for a while now. I haven't been able to go because of college, but I just finished finals so my sister and I went over for a visit yesterday afternoon.

I love his grandparents to pieces. They raised DB for a good bit of his life and been a great influence. His grandfather was the one who drove DB and I up to the airport to drop him off, then was nice enough to drive me back home. They have been SUPER supportive. His grandfather asked DB when he was gonna buy a ring before we had even started talking about it .

Yesterday was so much fun. His grandmother made all sorts of goodies. Then DB talked to everyone via Skype . They decided to embarrass DB so I got to see all of his adorable baby pictures .

Sounds like a great afternoon! So good to connect with each others family in a relationship, I think this is crucial for the long haul.

And goodies?! No one throws down in the kitchen like grandmas do!

His grandparents sound like they are really nice. I think it is so important to have a good relationship with your SO family. It makes things that much easier in the long run.

I am so grateful they live so close (his grandfather will also drive me up to the airport when DB gets back). They are tons of fun, and I think they like me partly because I give them news of DB and bug him to call them .
