Just wondering if you ladies have some songs that help you deal with being away from your SO. Some make me cry but they really make me feel a little better.
    I have a couple that I often listen to;

Rascal Flatts - I won't let go, Hurry baby, Let it hurt
Jason Mraz- I won't give up
Theory of a deadman- Wait for me
Incubus- I miss you, Wish you were here
    Martina Mcbride- Valentine
Mumford and sons- I will wait

My husband and I spend a lot of time singing. Whether it be on our roadtrips or sitting on Skype and he's playing guitar, we're constantly singing. We're not dealiing with a deployment right now but we live 3000 miles away from each other so there is a lot of lonely nights and lonely times where a song makes me think of him or makes me feel better.

He's sang Josh Turner a lot so he surprised me with this song at our wedding. I am constantly listening to it now to feel better.

Other songs I really like are:

The Longer The Waiting (The Sweeter the Kiss) - Josh Turner
Stay With Me - Josh Gracin
    Free - Zac Brown Band
Far From Home - Five Finger Death Punch
    Soulmate - Josh Turner
    ALL GARTH BROOKS
When You Come Back to Me Again - Garth Brooks

There's so many and now they've escaped me all.

This. And pretty much anything by Mumford and Sons. DB got me listening to them because he listens to them in the car. I've been listening to them so much since he's been gone.

I'm all for country (thank goodness he is too). There's just a lot of country songs that'll have the words for the emotions that you're feeling at that time!

I really like Carry On by Fun and the Mario Cart Love Song....by.....I forget his name. Also, I found some of my favorite songs had nothing to do with love or missing someone, but for example, Call Me Maybe and Gangnam Style will forever be fused in my head with the memories of this last deployment, just because I heard them a lot during the time I was adjusting to dh being away. All those country ones listed above are good too!

Carry On by fun. My motto has been to carry on for such a long time. That song just strikes a nerve and I love it.

Anything, especially I Will Wait, by Mumford and Sons. Oh and some Jack Johnson songs, since DH loves to play those on his guitar.

Thank each and every one of you for responding! Music is important to me, especially when going through trying times. It certainly portrays how I am feeling sometimes better than I could ever explain. I've got some song searching to do, thank heavens for Spotify!

City and Colour, yes! I love "The Girl"
"New York to California" by Mat Kearney
"Swallowed in the Sea" by Coldplay
"Paperweight" by Schuyler Fisk and Joshua Radin
    "Better Together" by Jack Johnson
And... "Ass Back Home" by Gym Class Heroes when I need a pep up.
I listen to a ton of country too.. Reminds me of home. One of my favorites is "Close" by Rascal Flatts... Parts of it are perfect! I have slightly altered the lyrics I sing for it in the shower so it's about a long distance relationship instead of a breakup. Haha.
