Question about Rings... - Love Shack

Kevin tried to be sneaky and sent me out a couple weeks ago with our mutual friend Jess to see what engagement rings tickled my fancy. Well, I found a gorgeous one that I've absolutely fallen in love with.

Anywho, he had me show him which one I liked yesterday and I think he was a little shocked at the price. Now, I know he's just a Senior Airmen (E-4) but I do wonder how much is too much for a ring. The one I like is about $800.

I would like my engagement ring to act as my wedding band also. He said he'd get me the one I liked but do you think it's too much?

Also, it's the duty of the girl to buy a wedding band for her husband, right?

I have a feeling I'll be asking a lot of questions before May! I'm so nervous...

my grandma told me that ya'll buy the rings together and sort of split the cost. i'm buying his and he's buying mine that's the arrangement that me and him worked out. i'm going through the same sort of thing. do you have pictures of the ring you were looking at or details?

I just about crapped my pants when I found out how much he spent on my engagement ring. As far as his ring goes I am buying it for him no matter what he says. He is one of those guys that thinks he needs to pay for everything. I know what he likes and what he wants so I am just gonna go get it and surprise him with it.

Is the 800 for the wedding band or engagement ring?
My engagement ring was 850 and my dh was an E2 at the time
My wrap (wedding Band) was 1500 and his band was 1225. He was an E3 then. We paid for them together. I picked them both out he was on deployment.

The $800 dollars is for the engagement ring but since I'd like it to act as the engagement ring and wedding band I guess it's both. It looks like this:

my band and engagement rings where a set i think mine cost like 875. i bought dh's and his band was only like 250, he wanted a titianium band so it was pretty inexpensive

My engagement ring was over 4000... don't ask me why he did it, he has expensive taste, but I love it!!! My band however was only 250 and his is titanium and I bought both of the bands this weekend. He's not in port so I had to get them. He spent WAAAAAAAY more than I thought he would an he was only an E-2... it's amazing what credit will get you... so WE'RE paying on it, since I'm paying it from his account! LOL BUT IT'S GORGEOUS!!!!!!

I was SHOCKED when I found out how much my DF spent on my Engagement ring....mine was also about 40000....but it's GIA certified, and GORGEOUS!!! I absolutely love it! and while on Deployment....he's managed to pay it off within the six month no interest period....E-3. As for our bands...we haven't got them yet, but we've agreed he'll buy mine and I'll buy his

I have no clue of how much my engagement ring costs - he's paying for it and I'm not sure I want to know! I paid for the wedding bands, but we both agreed that we wanted plain gold bands so it only cost about $300 for both (I got them in the sale

)
