My husband asked my dad. But I will add that he asked me first

(my dad even asked if he asked me first because had he not he would have said no)

doesn't much matter to me. if my parents didn't like him and couldn't see me with him in the long run, i wouldn't even waste my time dating him. so by the transitive property, they'd like him.

Father passed away 5 years before I met and married my husband, so no.

Doesn't matter to me. I'm not big on "tradition". I think tradition for tradition's sake is pointless. I will save the rant about how misogynistic I think this practice is for another day.

I would like for K to ask for my father's blessing, not his permission.

Until His*Pita posted above I never heard it as their blessin'. But I am from a part of my own state that has a different dialect. So words change out. Makes me wonder if other geological locations or one's views would also not say 'give the bride away' for that could also imply ownership.

I would like DB to ask for their blessing. I kinda like that tradition... plus my BIL did that so I think it'd be best if DB did that too.

Come what may, I will love you until the end of time.

I would like DB to ask for my mother's blessing, which I think he will. And she loves him so she would say yes, but I just think it's a nice gesture. Even if she said no I don't think it would hinder any plans we would have to get married.

    love me some Maegan
Jessym is my relationship twin! ♡
