DH and my 1st wedding anniversary is coming up!! Time flies

The majority of our first year has been a LDR so we want to do something really special. We are thinking of taking a weekend trip to Catalina Island since neither of us have ever been there.

What did you do for your 1st anniversary? I'd love to hear your stories

Nothing. He was in basic training. Although, we did something for our third, since it was the first one together. We spent a weekend at the Hershey Hotel. It's across the street from the park. It's a luxury hotel with a spa and tons of things to do. It was amazing.

We just went to a really nice dinner and a movie. We had spent A LOT of money this summer on traveling, so we just kept it low key!

I'll be enjoying a nice romantic meal ALONE. DH is deployed.

But we are going to Thailand when he gets back to celebrate our anniversary and because we never did a honeymoon!

Our one year anniversary was a couple of days after DS's 1st birthday and 2 weeks after DD was born so we were broke. We weren't going to do anything, just stay home and make dinner, but my dad said that was unacceptable and gave us his credit card and told us to go anything and get anything we wanted We just went to dinner since we had to take DD, but she slept the whole time so it was still romantic. We couldn't even because I had just had DD

We just went to a nice dinner... we didn't do much because he left few days after for basic so we were somewhat saving money since we weren't sure what to expect money wise once he was gone.

We went away for the weekend to this really cool little Bavarian town called Leavenworth. Its about 3 hours from our house... we stayed in this REALLY cool house. Each room had a different theme... one night we stayed in the castle room, and the next night we stayed in the Palace room. It was PERFECT!
