    Engagement ring... for a DB?

    Advertisements
Okay, so when I found out my DB was saving for a ring, the thought crossed my mind that I would like to buy something for him as well, that equally represented my love and commitment to him. My best friend from before DB and I met is a guy too, and he thinks it would be really cool if I bought an engagement ring for DB as well (obviously something a little more masculine than what I am going to be getting ).

To be honest I kind of like the idea... Still, I dunno what he would think about that... it sort of walks a fine line between really thoughtful and really, umm...

So ladies, what do you think? Male engagement ring? And if so, can you think of some way I could differentiate it from his wedding band? Or even make the two coordinate without being identical? Or should I just spend the money on a really nice tv? To be honest, he'd probably like that better

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has trouble of its own.

My best friend bought her fiance a ring for a Christmas gift after he gave her a sapphire promise ring (before they were actually engaged). He loves it and wears it all the time. It's not an actual wedding ring, but it's silver and has a small sapphire stone in the middle. Oh, and he's in the Navy, and not at all

When my hubby and I were just friends, I bout him a pretty cool ring. *not engagement*
But he wore it all the time up until he went to basic but only because he didn't want to loose it.

Well it's good to know that I wouldn't be the first to do it. That way, if DB is weirded out, I have backup

After my boyfriend got me a promise ring, I got him one too...

It's very affordable and nice quality. I couldn't find the one I bought him online, but they're all nice!

I purchased a "promise ring" for DH. it looked more like a wedding band. He wouldn't wear anything "fancy". (we had a small ceremony after dd was born- on a native american reservation , for our family- they gave us rings- he never wears the ring!)

how about something simple? like a claddagh?

    you could even match him...

    here's something more manly..

I bought DB an enagement ring and I'm going to "pop the question" in a way too. Be on the lookout for my scavenger hunt ideas that the ladies have helped me with. The catch is that it's his bday present (his bday was yesterday) and he doesn't get the ring until after he asks me. Well...he has no idea why he has to wait since he doesn't know I got it for him...but as soon as he asks me, i'll ask him a few days later. I don't want to steal his thunder, KWIM?
