how do you girls feel about singing the paperwork and getting marriend in front of a justus of the peace, befor you DF goes on diployment? then haveing the cerimony and all the bells and wistles when he comes back? my DF and i are thinking about doing this and i just wanted to see what people who may have done this thaught about it?

This is what DH and I wanted to do--instead we planned a whole wedding in 37 days because my Dadwanted it that way

Honestly--it's a common occurence for military couples--lots of people do it that way.

We didn't get married at a JOP, but we did have a quick wedding while hubby was home on leave for 7 days before heading to Iraq the first time. I don't see anything wrong with it. The wedding pales in comparison to the marriage in my mind, but I'm not nearly as young as you are.
