    Good advice to live by?

If you wouldn't do it or say it with me standing right there then it shouldn't be done or said at all.

Do you think thats good advice for a marriage or any relationship for that matter?

Sorry for the confusion! It is supposed to say WOULDN"T

Do you mean - if you WOULDN'T do it or say it with me standing there, then it shouldn't be done at all.

Yes, I do believe that is good advice for relationships.

For the post part, yes. However, I think there are some personal things that people probably do by themselves. Like Jason knows I'm not into raunchy porn so he'd never just pop a flick on with me standing there, but I'm okay with him watching when I'm not around. KWIM? And it's not often but I do sometimes vent about him either on here or to my mom and I say stuff in the heat of the moment that I probably wouldn't want to say to his face, but it lets me blow some steam off so I can cool down. I think there are times when maybe it's okay but generally speaking I do think it's good advice. USUALLY, if you feel shame about something, it's for good reason... and if you feel shame, you probably know it's not something you'd want your SO to know about for whatever reason. KWIM?

LOL - glad I'm not the only one a little confused by that. If it was supposed to be "wouldn't" then, yes, I think that is pretty good advice.

Yes, I think she meant wouldn't...

When it comes to how you behave with the opposite sex, then yes good advice. Like Brandi said though, when it comes to personal behaviors... like farting for example... not so much.

I agree with it and see it this way: I am not going to say anything about DF behind his back that I wouldn't say in front of him. I would not call him an idiot or worse in front of people, because I would never say it to his face.

Yeah, I don't like to poop with him in the bathroom so that is definitely one thing I will keep to myself for private time
