Smile Getting Married at the Courthouse

    Advertisements
    Hi Ladies,

I have a question for some of you that have got married in the Courthouse. My fiance and I are getting married in April when he has his R&R. There is no waiting period where we live. I know that we have to make an appointment at the courthouse. Do we have to make an appointment like we did for getting our licenses?

no. you should just be able to walk in to the place, sit down and get the paperwork done. If the court house website or whatever says no need to get an appointment for your license then no, you can just walk in. The courthouse needs an appointment simply because judges are on a fixed schedule so you can't just walk in and grab one.

If you're still not sure, call the courthouse, ask for human services and ask them! But I highly doubt you'll need an appointment to get the license. We didn't and I looked it up for Colorado, Georgia, and Washington
