No, but I voted other because I don't have a ring.

I might insure a ring if it was a family heirloom or was really expensive.

no wedding set for me yet.

my most expensive piece of jewelry is my college class ring which was ~$500. it's not insured & i never wear it.

the wedding set i have picked costs $650, so i doubt it'll be worth insuring.

where jewelry is concerned, i'm a minimalist.

Mine isn't, my engagement and wedding ring combined aren't worth enough to warrant any sort of jewelry insurance on them.

My ring surely is insured and covered under an addendum on our renter's insurance policy!!!!

Also, my ring has a lifetime guarantee on it via my jeweler back home. If ever a diamond falls out on it, including the main 1ct round solitaire, they'll replace the stone. I've already lost 3 of the smaller round ones. LOVE LOVE LOVE my parent's jeweler.......David and Sons for any of you San Diego gals.

ETA: I also have my GG's antique ring insured. I really shouldn't wear it everyday....lol!

The DB got me a promise ring, but didn't insure it, but he said that it was decently expensive.....idk what that means, but i guess not worth insuring. haha.

my wedding set is insured, and its a good thing it is, i have had the small diamonds fall out 3 times!!!!
we also have it on our renters insurance

Thats why I think he an I may want to insure our rings. He would like to have a few diamonds on his, an knowing him

Do it!!! Renter's insurance is NOT expensive at all!!!!!! EVERYONE who rents or is in military housing should have a policy. I believe we pay less that $150 A YEAR...that includes my wedding set!

we got mine at zales and to add a life-time warranty it wasn't that much.
the only guideline is you HAVE to have it cleaned every 6 months. if you ever miss a cleaning the warranty is void.
