if he's enlisted you really aren't supposed to put it in there if he's an officer then yeah, but most people just put US NAVY below his name on the invite and leave it at that... we didn't put it on there at all... HTH... if you search wedding invites they will have categories you can look at with examples... they are really helpful!!!

i don't know if i would put his rate there to me it just seems kinda funny...but like if he's a petty officer you could put PO XXXXX (XXXXX meaning last name) or if he's a chief you could do the same thing...i would think that would be more of a title thing not a rate thing...same way if he was a doctor or a attorney general or something like that

It was a valid question, but we left the whole navy part out of our wedding. It's important to remember that the two are independant of one another
