need opinions please (re: wedding stuff)
I found this package (this company offers others as well) that includes EVERYTHING for the wedding (ceremony, reception, cake, a wedding planner to help us, the license, etc etc etc)
what do you think: http://www.sandiego-destinationweddi...s/31/index.htm we'd get married at cuvier park http://www.geocities.com/timandkelly...eddingbowl.jpg |

It sounds like a good deal, but it doesn't seem to leave a lot of room to personalize things and add your own touches.
I guess if you don't mind that, then it would be ideal.

Finding my own path!

A lot of the wedding sites that I've visited that have all inclusive packages didn't have real elaborate websites... I would contact the owner and make sure to get everything in writing and adjust the contract as needed. Packages like that make things MUCH easier though!

The place we had ours at had a package, which I was totally thrilled about. Less trying to find people to make the cake, be the bartender and wait staff, the decor for the ceremony, set-up/clean-up, etc. I just brought extra stuff that I wanted included in our wedding and reception. I did have to request to have roast pig brought in from a restaurant, though, because they didn't offer it, and it's a huge tradition in my family to have it.
I can't remember the exact amount of ours to compare, but we're talking about San Diego, so I'd say that that's a pretty good deal, considering it includes food (which is the most expensive part of any wedding), your Wedding Cake (which if you have it done elsewhere, would probably cost a good $300-$400, and maybe even more, especially if it's 3-tiered), Champagne and Personalized Champagne Flutes, Champagne Toast for All Guests (Served), a Professional Photographer & 1 Hr. Photo Package (Ask if you can have the negatives, and if you want more time, ie. 2 hours, see what they charge, how much pics would cost, if they don't let you have the negatives), Reception Set-Up & Clean Up, Professional D.J. Services for 5 hours, Wedding Cameras on Reception Tables, and Garden View Bridal Suite for 2 nights. I know that when I did the package, they catered to what I wanted, ie. the colors I chose, the theme, so usually they really try to make your special day as less stressful as possible. (Which I was all for, since I didn't live where where we were having it, and I was working over 50 hours/week.) I'd call them and see if you can go in and have the package explained in detail to you, so you know exactly what you're getting from the food to the photgrapher and DJ. La Jolla to me is one of the most beautiful areas, which is probably why it's one of the most expensive areas to live in. Definately go to the site where you'll be having the ceremony and imagine having your wedding there to really get a feel for whether you want have it there or not. Good luck deciding, Sweetie!!!

That seems alot of $$ too me
When i got married the 1st time I had a huge wedding..the dress, huge cake..100 people. It only cost $4900. Of course, I had to find everything..including the best deals. Had a friend who did proffesional wedding cakes..got my dress on clearance(but it was gorgeous) I guess i would look around and see if there is something similar that isnt soo $$.
