new to LDR - Long Distance Love

hey girls, i guess i belong in this group of LDRs now! DB is currently in the process of going from AIT at Ft. Benning to his first duty station. He will be stationed at Ft. Drum in NY. I live in our hometown in Indiana, going to school. We just celebrated our 2 and a half year dating anniversary, and we are so happy! But, just wondering, is there anyone else out there in an LDR with someone at Ft. Drum? Curious to meet some girls that i can share that with!!

Hi! I'm in an LDR and now on a deployment. DB isn't at Fort Drum, but I did grow up in Watertown, the town right outside it and all of my family is still there! So I know a lot about the area if you ever have any questions. When DB is not in Iraq, he is stationed at Ft Lewis, in Washington State, and I currently live in his hometown in Pennsylvania. We've been doing the LDR thing for over a year now, and were dating for 2 years prior to that. It is not fun, but at the end of the day, it's worth it. How are you doing?

welcome to this part of the forum! I have been in a LDR for over a year and 1/2 and will be for at least another 9 months!!! This is def the best place for you to be! Idk if i could get through some of the things i have w/o the wonderful support from these ladies bc friends who haven't been there just don't understand.

not still with him but my ex went from ft. benning to ft. drum. . .it was pretty easy, he came home every weekend to see me

I'm doing pretty well actually. We have our days where it gets tough but i think it's just because we're not fully used to being separated from each other, not knowing when we will see each other next. Thank you for asking

and thanks to all you other ladies, too! Your responses brighten my day

Any advice is welcome, also! I know all long distance relationships take extra work, and you all are an inspiration to me!
