Military girlfriend in dying need of support..:(

I know I'm new at this website but I have to talk to someone who I can relate to and finding this website...maybe this might help me.

My boyfriend is in the Airforce. We've been together for 2 years and 8 months. My Airman did something somewhat bad last year with vicodin pills. He gave a pill or two to a friend and took 2 pills from another friend but that was it. After that, he kept himself out of trouble but in April of 2009 he was interrogated by the OSI (Airforce Office of special investigations). The OSI told him to come clean but my boyfriend kept denying that he never did anything drug related whatsoever but they tricked him and told him that they had 2 other testimonies saying that he did give pills and receive pills. So my boyfriend finally confessed and it went into this HUGE investigation.

After that, the Airforce started treating him like he was a drug dealer. Like he was selling and doing marijuana and cocaine. I know what he did was wrong and so does he but why treat him like he some criminal? Anyway, they told him he couldn't work anymore (he would fix f15's and stuff like that) and made him do...janitor work. Picking up leaves by hands, painting walls, picking up trash on base, etc.,

Anyway, I'm getting to the real stuff right here. He's getting a court martial (a Summary) and he will have to be in his blues on Tuesday (November 3rd) and we're both assuming that they are going to read him his rights and basically tell him what's going to happen and also give him his court martial date. His lawyer said he has only ONE charge: Drug Distribution. He asked his lawyer if it was possible to stay in the Airforce and she said "its black and white right now. Most likely you will be kicked out but with a general discharge and you won't be sent to jail."

My question is... has anyone here had something similar like this happen or even to a friend? If so, what happened and did everything work out well? My boyfriend is depressed everyday. He won't even sleep. Joining in the Airforce was his ticket to get out of the "hood" (He lived in Bronx, NY) and make something for himself. Now that he might get kicked out...he doesn't know what to do. I don't know what to tell him or what to do. I'm a struggling college student living at home with my grandma while I get my stuff together.

I really didn't know where to put this...so if this is the wrong area can someone be kind enough to move it to the right forum?

It could go either way... they could keep him in and just make his life hell for a while to teach him a lesson, they could let him out with a general discharge and be done with it, or they could make an example out of him and kick him out with a dishonorable and his if pretty much screwed career wise...

All you can do is hope that it goes the way you want and stand by him (if thats what you want)

He would be pretty lucky to get a general discharge and not a dishonorable discharge. That would truly limit his options even more.

He really really should have stood up and come clean much much sooner. It probably would have made things much easier on him. All you can do now is be there for him no matter what happens. I hope he gets a general discharge and not dishonorable, that will carry with him forever. Good luck with everything.
