my airman broke up with me :'[[ - Long Distance Love

so i was with my airman for almost 5 months. he was deployed for training on the other side of the country for 2 months prior, and he called it quits just two weeks before he was coming home :[[. after his return home, he was going to leave for some more training in another state for 4 years. i always knew that trying to make it work long-distance was going to take so much work, but i was willing to wait for him. i mean, just being away from him for a month was tough! but having him hold my hand and hugging him after all that time just gave me those butterflies, and i knew that i wanted to be with him in the long-run. i knew he was worth it, but he just didn't see it working out. i am very heartbroken as i saw a future with him. i need some help guys. it's been a month since he called it quits, and i just don't know how i'm going to make it through this :/.

It will get better with some time. At least he was honest with you and didn't lead you on, though. I know that doesn't make it feel any better for you right now, but later on when you find the right one for you, you will be thankful.

I think it's time you get your mind off him and think of some ways you can improve yourself instead... pick up a hobby, volunteer, spend more time with friends, etc. It'll be a good distraction.
Just throwing it out there, I find it a bit strange you refer to him as your airman instead of your boyfriend.
