learning to roll with it!
Well i'm relatively new to the military life. DB only enlisted in March, and 4 months were spent in OSUT. I booked a ticket a couple of weeks ago to see him the weekend of November 12th. Well, we just found out today that this is the same weekend as his spur ride
 . I fly in late Thursday night so one of his friends will pick me up from the airport and while DB is at the Spur Ceremony Dinner getting drunk with all the other cav guys, i'm going to be hanging out and drinking with his friends waiting for him to come back Friday evening!Pre-Army Aura would've gotten SO mad, not only at the Army but also I would've found some way to blame DB. Buttttt this experience has made me realize that i've totally learned how to "roll with it" and i'll be thankful for the time we DO have together! I'm pretty damn proud of myself

I totally know what you mean! I'm always laughing and patting myself on the back whenever I think about what I WOULD have done in certain situations before DF joined. This has definitely made me stronger and more tolerant in different situations.

hello!!! welcome! I totally understand how you feel as well! It's definitely helped me learn that I can't control things all of the time and that sometimes things just don't go the way I want them to - and I've learned to accept that and "roll with it"

i totally agree..the military changes their mind all the time. im trying to get used to it but i have grown so much patience from it as well! i have learned im greatful for ANY time i get with my DB!

Good for you!!! I agree. I was THE least patient person on earth before DB. Everything used to be a production. I learned really quickly that this is a big world and it doesn't revolve around me. At least the Army is good for something!
