Why are you in an LDR?
I don't know if this has been posted before- I checked, but couldn't find anything. Soooo...
Why are you and your SO in a long distance relationship? How much longer do you have? And what do you do to keep the relationship strong?

We've been LDR FOREVER. He's from NY and I'm from PA. Then I went to school in FL & he was still in NY. Then he left for training in TX and I transferred to another school in VA.
So long story short, we're in a LDR because I'm working on my undergrad in VA. He's getting ready to PCS to Montana for 2 years. So we're stuck in this for the next 2 years and I know I'm gonna lose my mind. I just know it.

We have been LDR for 2 years because I am in college in our home state and we are LDR right now cause he is deployed. We have until July of 2010 to wait to live together cause that's when we will be married. I have saved all the sweet texts and emails and when I'm lonely I go back and read them and then I have a HUGE smile on my face and I know I have picked a wonderful future husband!

Why are you and your SO in a long distance relationship?
He's from Wyoming, and I've been here in Indiana my whole life. He's stationed in Hawaii, and I'm just up here working and going to school (well i took this semester off). Pretty much just doing my thing until he gets back from deployment like fall of 2011. How much longer do you have? Well I see him in 10 days (omg ) and then after that he's coming up for Christmas break and meeting my family for the first time, and then I'm going down there for spring break, then we are still figuring out where we will be for his leave before he deploys. Then after that, we will see when he gets R&R and when he gets back from deployment. And what do you do to keep the relationship strong? Communicate. Communicate. Communicate. I can't stress that enough. If either of us has a problem we talk it out right away and don't stop until it's resolved. We also webcam alot and that alone really does wonders for our relationship.

We're LDR because he'll spend just under the next 3 years overseas. It could be until 2011, but I am not holding my breath for that one! I'm in our home town, and eventually he'll be back here! We talk as much as we can, whenever we are able to- on FB, he calls as much as he can. We email, and I write him letters-one every day, and then send him the stack of letters every 3 weeks. He said it was so nice, and so I continue to do it. Sure it's hard, but knowing that he'll be back here is what gets me through!

We have been in a LDR for a year and a half because he currently stationed in England and I am completing my final year of school. We are getting married in June and our LDR will officially end in Septemer 2010 when his time in England in completed.
Communication is the number one thing that keeps us strong. Cherishing each and every moment with each other keeps us fighting through the distance. |

. The other girls are right Communication is key. And he makes my heart smile we talk whenever we can and we see eachother when we can. I have to say though our love being as strong as it has helped more then anything. I cannot describe how much I love my df he is the greatest person I have ever met and I am the luckiest girl in the world. I am so happy that he picked me to be his wife.

Me and Doug have been dating almost 4 years...so we don't do much to keep the relationship strong..it just is, I guess
We have fun together. He's got the best personality ever. The reason we're in a LDR is because he is stationed in NC and I'm still in GA in school...I'm 3 years younger than him, and have a year left of school...I really wish I was done with school, because I'd be up there with him. How much longer? Eh, I don't know. I'll be 21 in a little over a year...which is the age I pretty much want to get engaged at...I can't before..beause, it would just be weird...because of the way my family views are, blah blah. So, yeah
