Sleeping - Long Distance Love

Okay, I've been doing LD with DF for a year and a half but somehow I STILL cannot sleep at night if I haven't heard from him in a few days. It's been 4 days since I've gotten an email from him and again I just find myself unable to sleep and unable to focus on schoolwork in the evening.

All day I'm fine but then at night all I can do is worry and stay up all night and check my email every 10 mins. I have a very rigorous school schedule and I can't afford to keep doing this.

Ideas? Help?

He is stationed in Japan. He is currently underway.

Oh ok. Well maybe because the time is diff over there. Maybe he is busy with work so I would not worry about

I know how you feel, I do the exact same thing esp if a conversation didnt go the way I planned...You just gotta turn off the computer and read or something...thats what i do

I do the same thing hun, it's REALLY tough to focus on school work when you haven't heard from your SO in a few days. I have 22 credit hours this semester so I have NO time to sit around having a pity party for myself because I'm sad. The thing that motivates me most is knowing that I am dealing with such a tough school schedule for US, so that we can be together sooner, and that will usually ease my mind enough to get some work done. other days I just have to take tylenol PM and pray I wake up more motivated the following day.

I know exactly how you feel. I usually go to the gym and run on the elliptical for 30 min to get my mind off of it, then back to the books.

Wish I had some ideas for you... If anyone has any..please share! LOL It's tough to sleep at night when you haven't heard from them or your converstaion goes bad and you try to salvage it and you both say sorry and stuff but you still can't help but to think of it as you are trying to go to sleep. It really sucks! LOL
