trying to get to my phone just now! I heard the little text ringtone going off and I thought it was DB so I rush over to get it trip over my laptop cord and fall onto my chair! Just my luck it wasn't from him. It was from a friend of mine some stupid forward.

I hate forwards... But I do the same thing! I freak out when I hear my phone make the text noise. I always hope its him...

I was mid-deuce one night and I heard my phone ringing (DF had been on a ship that month, so I was waiting for anything) and I had to pinch off in the middle, whip in a hurry, run out, only to miss it... and it was his grandma asking if I'd heard from him.

Oh yes girl, I can't stand forwards either. I never send them back out I will just take the bad luck or whatever it is you get when you don't send it to 10 people in 20 seconds or whatever that crazy thing is.

Aww Granma! that's funny, I know you probably sounded disappointed when you talked to her and that's what she wanted. That's so cool that your DF is stationed at New River. We're just starting out as a couple so I haven't made my first visit there. What is is like?

Funny story...so I have two cells phones....one is my personal one, another is one I am pilot testing for my univeristy on the useablilty of smartphones on campus (BB Storm). So DB when he tries to call will hit up the personal one first, which usually will start my running for the phone (which at times can be commical) or my furiously digging through my bag looking for the phone which always ends up buried at the bottom! It will stop ringing normally just as I get my hands on it and see it was him. Then he moves to the next phone, which starts going off like crazy! So normally you will find me holding two phones to get one call . The Persoanl one doesn't get texts, sometimes when DB is distracted he will send it to the wrong one, and then I never get it, and am totally clueless when I call him and he mentions about the "text" he sent!

Funny thing is, people seem to find it amusing when I look at a text or IM on my phone from DB...I guess my face lights up, and I smile at my phone...my friends seem to just know . I even had my tour guide in China ask me why I was smiling at my phone...sad thing I didn't even know I was

I do the exact same thing and my coworkers and friends act the same way when that happens. They make hardcore fun of me! I always have my phone near me - at almost all times. DB always makes comments about me responding to his text messages so quickly. I'm like - duh it's never beyond arms reach hun!

Oh yea mine does the same thing! He thinks it's so funny that he will get a text in the same minute that he sent me one. But then if I get busy and I can't get around to it he's like so really I think it's a ploy for him to make me go

Yea I get the same thing with DB cause of the smart phone, emails, txts, and IM's all go to that one device, so its pretty quick for me to respond...I even scare my profs sometimes when I response right away to their emails .
