Do you ever feel like the distance will never end? - Long Distance Love

Lately I have been feeling like this LDR will never end. DB and I have always had an LDR so I am use to it. He's deploying in the fall, and I am finishing up school in Spring of 2010. I just feel like while he's gone I am going to get my career started back home and then he will return and the distance is still there. He's not sure if he's staying in or out of the Army which makes me heistant to move to where he is if I have a steady well paying job. It will be expensive to move me and my horse, and be away from all the people who support me. I guess thinking about all this makes it seem like just getting to be together is going to be a stuggle let alone growing the relationship. I think I am just in one of those low points, I miss him alot, and I just don't like seeing so much time keeping us apart...will we ever get to know each other enough to take the next step? *sigh* the life of an LDR girlfriend.

-ing for the strenght to wait out the years.

Does anyone else feel this?

i'm trying to keep a positive outlook especially with DF going to Germany. In 2.5 years we will finally be together. it does seem like a really long road, but there is a lot of good in it.

Dont worry! i feel the SAME way. DB and i have been long distance before he deployed, cuz he was at a post FAR away from me... then he deployed, and im in school. He'll be back in August or September... and from there he has to be on post til Dec. then hes thinking of going back to school around where his family is (Washington state) and im in Texas... so that'll probably be another 4 years, and when im done with school, which will be before he is... it'll be my decision to move where he is.
Just sayin i know how you feel girlie! It feels like the distance will never end, cuz theres so many years ahead til you can actually be TOGETHER for good.
but one day... thats the day you gotta look forward to

Thanks guys, it helps to hear that I am not the only one who feels like this. Sometimes I feel like I live on an island. Right now I can't talk to DB (NTC) and I have so much to talk to him about before deployement and its just bottling up...still have 3 weeks till he returns . Thanks for the encouragement

I know EXACTLY what you meann!
im going through that right now too... DB's in Iraq... and we havent talked in a week... And theres so much going on with me i want him to know, and talk about! So i write him letters every day in a notebook im going to give to him. Sometimes i forget what i wouldve told him that day... or by the time i get to talk to him, its irrelevant and im just happy were talking. Maybe try to write all your concerns or things you want to tell him down, and maybe you wont get to talk to him about it, but it helps just to get it out.

Thanks, I have been writing them down every day and sending them to his email for when he gets back, its just we have alot to still talk about before he deploys, and also I really miss him. Thanks for the ideas and encouragement

i definately feel that way too sometimes. but keep your head up because one day it will end!!!!

Not saying that I'm happy any of yall are long distance, but this thread made me happy to know I'm not the only one that feels like its never going to end!!

It is a never ending feeling however I just keep reminding myself one day I'll get my chance to fly! Until then I'll just have to walk!
