Just thought it would be neat to hear what everyone has learned from their LDR? Did you learn something about yourself or each other that you didn't know and wouldn't have found if you weren't in an LDR? Just curious...

I've learned new and creative ways to fill my time
I've learned to trust more than ever

Independence is a biggie but also putting my pride aside to ask my friends for support. They are always happy to give support they just don't always know when i need so i have to ask.

1.I've learned it's ok to have a life and go out and have fun with my girl friends when he's away.

2.i've learned that i can't be the center of his world, that's the military

3. I've learned that distance makes the heart grow stronger

4. to be independent

5.to trust more

6. just how strong love can be no matter how far apart we are.

I learned that even though you can be completely in love and have the perfect relationship over the phone and instant message, when you're in person there may be things about them that you absolutely cannot stand and they break the relationship.

Sometimes there are...be are any of us perfect? We all have our annoying habits.

I have learned to be independent. DF is very proud of that. I have also gained a very strong emotional and mental relationship with DF. I have learned how to truly love someone and support them, while being happy at the same time.

I've learned that communication really is the key, love does not fade because of the distance, and, honestly, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

I never ever knew that I could love someone so much or that someone could affect me so much...and all from hundreds of miles away.

I've learned how strong love can be
I've learned so much about myself it's not even funny. I feel so much more confident in myself.
I've learned how to deal with my own problems a little better.
I've learned that crying isn't a sign of weakness.

This LDR sucks hardcore, but honestly it has brought so much good to my life. DB and I have gotten so much more serious in response to the stress on our relationship so in a strange way I am thankful that this happened.
