Fire your dryer!
I have!
http://www.care2.com/greenliving/fire-your-dryer.html We started line drying because electricity here in Italy is expensive and also because that's what the locals do. We love it though! Our clothes smell more fresh and clean, they're crisp, and we'll save money at the end of the month on our electricity bill. Our washing and drying machines are also much smaller here so it takes a couple of extra loads to get everything done. The saved energy will be worth it. |

Wonderful! Good choice!
I personally can't do it now, because where I live, you'll never know the weather all day long and chances are your stuff won't get dry outdoors. Here we say, "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." If I lived in a weather-stable zone, I'd love to line dry. |

Once I settle down in a house I will line dry all of my clothes.
Due to space issues and roommates I had to abandon all of my indoor drying techniques. Until my roommate left in November and I had the place to myself. I used her empty bedroom to dry all of my clothes with her fan on high.

I line dry most everything, but I have to drop them in the dryer for 5 mins tops, cause I hate the crisp clothing!

I'd like to air-dry, but the majority of my wardrobe are jeans (for school and work!) and I HATE hard jeans.. so I still have to put them in the dryer for like 10 mins just to get the starchiness out. Otherwise I'd air dry everything (even if I don't have a place for it
)

Ah, the smell of line dried clothing. Brings back memories of my grammy's home. I could line dry here at my home but we have SO many bugs and pollen that it's almost impossible.
Good for you for going green!
