Dyer Balls - Living Green

I've found the love for wool/yarn dryer balls the last month. T thinks I'm

but they are so pretty, save on $$, and help with being "Green". I've got about 3 sets (all different scents

) but I think next month I'm going to attempt to make a set on my own, instructions found HERE

What are Dryer Balls?

Dryer balls are a unique product designed to leave your clothes soft and static free as well as make the process of doing laundry more economical.

How do Dyer Balls work?

When placed in the dryer among the wet laundry the dryer balls help to lift and separate the clothes reducing static and drying time as well as leaving the clothes soft and fluffy. Technically the dryer balls work by improving the circulation of heat and air through the wet items.

Do they help save money?

Dryer balls are also economical because they reduce drying time by up to 40%. As a result, the cost of your electrical bills and energy consumption will decrease. A reduced drying time is far more convenient for those with busy lifestyles as well.

That's so awesome. My sister has sheep and I think my mom was saying they were going to start making those. I had no idea what she was talking about. I think I'll find out if they did though, because they sound awesome! (And really helpful, since my dryer takes 2 cycles to dry anything)

ummm where do you buy these dryer balls you speak of??? i am too lazy to make my own...but cut drying time...yeah i would like that!

I love the idea. In fact, I had the as seen on tv dryer balls --they are blue plastic with raised rounded spikes. I loved them but they broke apart. I will try these.

I have those. My roommate was so confused the first time he did laundry.
