Not sure if this should go in this forum or not
![]() I got some little pots, soil, & seeds yesterday to make a little kitchen garden. I got some Mint, Basil, Oregano, & Cilantro. I planted the seeds in the little pots.......but now what? Do I water them everyday? If so a lot or a little? Do I keep them in sunlight?

I'd water them when they seem dry.. the seed packets should tell you how much sun they need.. partial or full sun, or full shade..

I'd think water every day or every other day depending on how much sun they are getting, how hot it is, how quickly the soil drains. With something like that keeping it in the window sill should be sufficient light.

just touch the top of the soil each morning to see if it's damp. water when dry
![]() basil is awesome....it can actually sprout roots in plain water. like, if you snip off a stem and place the stem in a vase of water, it will start to grow roots. keep it moist at all times, but make sure the soil doesn't grow mold (sometimes happens in over-watered potted plants)

If you can, buy a full spectrum light, they'll grow like weeds.
I got growing, mint, basil, oregano, sage, cilantro, thyme. Lettuce, jalapenos, Thai hot peppers, and purple hot peppers. |
