Dishwasher Detergent AND Laundry Detergent!

Just found this online! Sounds great.

Dishwasher Detergent Recipe:
1 tbs Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda Mix
1 tbs 20 Mule Team Borax

And use Distilled White Vinegar as your rinse agent.

And laundry detergent too!

Laundry Detergent -
1 cup Washing Soda
1 Cup Borax
1/2 bar Fels Naptha soap
5 Gallons of hot water

In one pan, bring one gallon of water to a boil.
Also boil additional water (you will need close to five gallons in all).
In the meantime, put the washing soda and borax into the bottom of a five-gallon mixing container.
Grate half of the bar of Fels Naptha soap into a bowl.
Once the gallon of water (the first pot) has reached a boil, turn down the heat and add the grated Fels Naptha to the pot. Stir well to ensure that it is mixed thoroughly.
Add the soapy water to the five-gallon container (where you have the washing soda and borax). Stir.
Add additional boiling water (and stir) until you have five gallons. Stir, stir, and stir some more. It must be well-mixed.
Store the detergent mix in clean empty containers that can be tightly sealed.
Shake before using every time; use 1/2 cup of detergent for each load of laundry.

Cheap as chips to make and it makes a good supply to last!

I used to make this Laundry soap, it is a little odd when you first make it! It is like egg soup, some solid and some liquid. It works, just add a little fragrance if you choose, my husband hated it though.

I do this but I make the dry version of the laundry detergent. So much easier.
All the same but without having too cook it and without the water, the water will be there in the washer. I use 3tbsp of mine.

I was going to make the liquid soap until I saw this youtube video. At about the 5:09 mark she pours some out of the bottle to show what it looks like and it look so nasty!

Oh yes! I still use regular sometimes cause I had stock up on sooooo many bottles but this version is a lot cheaper and it cleans very well!

Yeah it is definetly weird and it looks yucky but it works!

so kinda like the liquid version with out the water. HMMM I might have to try this one.
