Recycle Crayons!!! - Living Green

I read about this and wanted to pass it along. Its a program to recycle crayons. Thought that they did break down in landfills, guess not.

Cute! It's easy to melt them down yourself and do the same thing, but this is easier

also if you have a lot of crayons you can melt them down and make your own or you can donate them to your local drs office, womens shelter, homeless shelter or a day care center.

I think they are actually made out of petroleum or something. I started buying soy ones now because they are biodegradable. They have a bunch of cool kids stuff here:

my daughter loves the scmecils that smell and are made out of recycled newspaper. They are REALLY smelly!
