    Name Change

This is stupid but I'm curious, for those that went through a divorce, when did you change your name on FB or anything else like that? Before it was finalized or did you wait?

I did it when I felt ready for everybody to publicly know. AKA when I was ready and when I was done with our marriage. When I was still fighting to save it, I still kept my married name. But once I did everything and submitted, thats when I was ready and changed my name and my relationship status.

I did it ASAP, most people knew already and if they didn't then they would find out anyways.

Didn't change my uniform name until years later because its a hassle. I never changed my DL or SSN to my married name so all I needed to change was my Mil info.

    I initiated the divorce.

I did it on FB before it was official as well. I moved home, and I think I did it a couple of months after that.

Before. My divorce is still not final but I changed my name on FB about a month ago. I just don't want to be associated with that name anymore.

I've gone by an alias FB since before our split, and I still go by that alias (well, I'll be changing my name to that in the coming months). The ex also uses an alias/pen name.

I decided to change it from married last name to my middle name being my "last name". I used to have it this way for a long time. I'll probably change it fully to maiden name when it's official.

I kept mine until I remarried so that my kids didn't have a mom with a different name growing up.
