I was considering getting my son a "Daddy Doll" also known as the "Hug a Hero Doll"...Have any of you gotten these for your children? Did they help them cope?

I plan on getting my little man a daddy doll! He loves looking at pictures of him, so I figure that would help too!

My friend got one for her daughter, and her daughter just loves it. She snuggles with it at nap and bedtime.

This is what DH does with it when it's NOT nap or bed time.

I have never heard of these (dont have a child). but i think it is a great idea!

im a loser and would tell the kid that every time they hugged the daddy doll, their dad could feel the hug too

I can't remember what my friend has for her baby, but it may be a daddy doll. She also has laminated pics that are a big hit.

I have this for my daughter is goes EVERYWHERE with us. You can put a picture of your little ones parent in as the dolls face.. It even has a thing where you can record their voice, and one of the times DH called I had him say over the phone he loved her. So now when she presses the dolls hand she hears daddy say "I love you".

This is the link to the one she has.
    Digi Camouflage

Then here she is with the doll.

See like I said she takes that thing everywhere. This is at the park last month and she took "daddy" with her to play.

Found another picture same day as the park one above. This is what she looked like when we got home.

Just wanted to add DD is 3. She won't sleep without her "daddy" most nights.
