DH and I both love our dyson. We've had it for 4 years and no problems yet.

Yep! I love my Kirby! They're more expensive, but you can set up payment plans and it's totally worth it.

We have went through 4 vacuums since we got our husky. He is a major shedder, and has a lot of long fur.

We could not afford a Dyson, so we got the next best thing. It is called the Shark Navigator. Here is a link:

    Buy Shark® NV22 Navigator: $199.80 & Free Steam Mop! | Official Site

We have had no problems with it, and it cleans the carpet better than anything else we have bought in that price range.

I've got a kirby, it hates me but I have one and can't complain (other than it hates me). I can probably beat someone to death with it, if I can pick it up high enough, plug it in and it will work as long as I never change the attachments. Just so you know, I have never met anyone else who had one who couldn't change the attachments, that's just me being special and my vacume being possessed.
No more damn ticker, he's home!

One time I couldn't put the vacuum head back on, so my then 4 year old took over and was able to do it for me. LMAO! He totally loves our Kirby and loves to change the attachments.

Thanks everyone! I've never even heard of a Kirby so I will definitely look into that one. I have a messy dog, a rabbit, and two cats that are constantly running in the house so I really need something worth the money
