    How to hang a tapestry?

    Advertisements
I have a huge, beautiful mandala tapestry that I'd like to hang up, but I don't want to use tacks or puncture the tapestry. If it comes down to putting holes in the tapestry (with reinforcers), I'll do it, but I'd rather not. Anyone know how to hang a tapestry on the wall?

Replying, not because I know, but because I'm interested in the answer...

If you don't want to damage the tapestry, I'd suggest getting a decorative curtain rod and hang it, then use curtain ring clips to hang the tapestry from the rod.

We had one which was mounted just on a pole on the top, horizontally.
After a few years, we took it to a framers and had it stretched and mounted on a frame. It actually looks a lot better now.

You can use thin staples or brads (tiny skinny nails) to mount it to a rail along the top. the holes will be small enough where it wont do damage.

I've tried googling but people just recommend command hooks. Thanks for all the suggestions
