    Housewarming Parties

    Advertisements
Any of you ever hosted a house warming party? We're doing one of those soon - what are some other big items that need to be addressed?

    I have a plan for:
    • food that we're serving so the plates/cups/utensils are taken care of
    • Seating
    • Tables
    • Parking

What are some of your ideas?

I've never had one, but do you have a deck and a grill? If it's nice weather in Orlando, consider an indoor/outdoor barbecue and drinks type shindig with music?

And cornhole. Am I too fratty?

computer must have not wanted me to post the other part I had written. LOL

We'll have the music channel on the tv going, and we'll have corn hole set up, and bocce ball. Hoping DH gets the dart board setup.

We have a back porch where we're grillin and have some seating outside (although Dixie has eaten a lot of the fabric).

Not fratty at all! Our corn hole game has Bacardi logos on it...

    I'm actually having one tonight

I'm just supplying some beer, a few different types of liquors and wine that I already had in the house, and chips/pretzels/dips. It's not starting until 8pm and nobody is expecting to be fed a real meal, so we're just having little snacks. The tv will have a music channel on, we got some extra folding chairs from a friend because we don't have much seating, and we have games/cards if needed.

Sounds like you have everything you need!

Honestly it sounds like you have the main stuff covered. Just relax and have fun.

My young nieces will be there and I worry that they might be too heavy and they might get hurt with those. The older niece will most likely lodge the horseshoe too far and knock her little sister in the head. I'll keep bean bags, those are a safer bet.
