    Gray walls/dark furniture

    Advertisements
So we're waiting on our new bedroom furniture to be delivered, still probably have one to two weeks before it comes. I'd love to paint our bedroom and I think I'd like a lighter gray color. BUT- I can't find any pics of a good gray and a darker wood furniture. Most of the online pics are of white furniture.

Anyone have this set up? If so, can I see some pics? If you have darker furniture, would you post pics of the color?

I think dark furniture looks fine. I don't have a house or anything but I plan to have grey walls. I think dark furniture looks ok, it's like oak and lighter wood you have to worry about. Have you gone on houzz.com?

Those are just some google pictures that I found. Dark wood and grey look really good together with a touch of a color accent.

I have light gray walls and black furniture. Rooms a mess so no pic, but the color combo looks great I think.

I like the Google pictures a lot! I agree that the color accents really help. It has a nice clean look to me, especially with the white bedding etc. That rust/orangey color looks good too.

Yep dark wood and gray looks good. Just as you were thinking to go with, stick with lighter shades. A nice silvery (without the shimmer/metallic) would be a gorgeous shade.

Thanks guys! I think we'll end up going to Lowe's this weekend and getting swatches and then maybe taking those to the furniture store to see which one matches the best.

Our curtains are red right now, but that'd have to change. I love my black out curtains!

I have gray walls! Better Homes and Gardens Dove Gray. My bedroom furniture is dark wood and my living room is all espresso leather. I love it! We went with black curtains.
