How do you wash your pillows?
I don't. Is this something I'm supposed to be doing? I have my pillows in zippered pillow cases and then I put my regular bedding pillow cases on top of those, so I feel like that keeps them pretty isolated from any dirt.

Part of it will depend on the type of pillow fill and the care instructions on the tag.
We use fiberfil pillow, and I wash and dry them in the washer and dryer. I wash them in warm water with a detergent pac on gentle cycle and add an extra rinse cycle. I dry them on low heat and put two tennis balls in the dryer with them to help dry and fluff them. I've also washed and dried down pillows.
I think that feather pillows can be washed and dried as well, but we'll never had them so I haven't had to do it.
Ummm you're supposed to wash the actual pillow??? I just wash my pillowcases. Now I feel dirty![]()
This is how I did mine the last time... (Thanks, Pinterest)

I never wash them. I wash the cases but if I feel the pillows are getting yucky or if DH or I get really sick, I will toss them and get new ones. For the $5 I spend on them, I don't have an issue just replacing them!
I only recently 'washed' mine. I threw them in a dryer with a tennis ball - figured the higher heat would kill anything. Plus, when I change pillowcases I spray the pillows with either Febreze or Lysol.
I don't wash our pillows because we don't need to.
I encase all of our pillows and our mattress in hypoallergenic cases so the pillows don't need to be washed and the mattress doesn't collect all of the gross dirt, dead skin, and dust mites that they usually do over time. About once or twice a month I wash the cases in hot water. Encasing everything has definitely helped to cut down on my allergies as well.
I never wash mine. I just replace them every once and a while. I've never heard of anyone washing them before![]()
