    So hard!

    Advertisements
So DB and my new place has no ceiling fans which means absolutely no ceiling lighting in rooms like the bedroom or the living room.

I never thought shopping for lamps could be so hard. What if it doesn't light the entire room?? How many lamps will I need? What if they don't look great with the decor??

    And holy crap, the pricing!

I'm sticking with Walmart and BB+B

I LOVED some of the lamps there and they were super cheap. The problem is that the closest ikea is almost 2 hours away and we already have everything else we need for our place.

But I wouldn't mind the excuse to take a day-cation

Ah, don't you hate that? Mine and DH's last apartment had no lighting in any of rooms, and our new place only has a ceiling fan in the dining room. It's such a pain figuring out which lamps will go where, but for the bedroom we got two table size lamps to put on each night stand (1 wasn't enough light) and in the living room we just have one tall floor lamp. Also, we got some of the lamps at lowes they're reasonably priced

as long as I'm not watching TV by candlelight, I can deal with little lighting until we figure out what goes good where That actually kinda helps me a lot
