    Advertisements
I am so excited to have finished my latest project. I saw on pintrest how to upholster dining chairs so I decided to try it and am pleased with the outcome.

    Here's the before and after

Here's what they look like next to my table

How cool! I desperately need to do that to my chairs, how difficult was it?

It was extremely easy. Once you get the chairs all taken apart, you trace the seat part on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Then you get some foam. I used 1 inch foam that I got from a fabric store. Then you trace the piece of cardboard onto the foam. When you cut the foam, leave about a 1/2 inch excess on each side. The instructions then say to glue the foam on to the seat with foam adhesive. However, I didn't want to glue it down bc I wanted to be able to take the upholstering off. Then you choose some fabric and staple it to the seat. Make sure you pull the fabric really tight and use lots of staples.
